It's been awhile

Okay, I'm so very sorry. It's been awhile since I've posted and I've had many requests to bring the blog back! :)
I would have to thank God today, because I am completely booked up in October except for one date and some of November. I have photographed so many sweet, amazing, and beautiful families this past year and I thank every single one of you. I am also blessed to be able to photograph a beautiful couple this weekend and I can't wait. I have dragged in a great friend of mine that will start working with me on weddings. I can't wait to teach her lots of new things, ideas, and also learn from her.
I have also been anxious to purchase a new camera lately. I tried going to the Canon's, but I'd have to say that I'm a Nikon girl. I purchased a Canon not too long ago and had to get rid of it almost as soon as I got it.
I received my new Nikon today and I was so excited about getting my hands on it that I'm sure my dog (Gretchen) is tired of having her picture taken! ;) She doesn't even look at me anymore when I call her name, because she knows I'm going to shine a bright light into her eyes. Well, I've rambled quite enough and I'm sure you're wanting to see a few sneak peeks from this week.

OHHHHHHHHHHH! I'm also planning a huge Christmas event in November for your Christmas cards. Save the date (NOVEMBER 14th) :)

Photos for Babies

Wow! Sorry about that. It's been awhile since I've posted. I've been really busy and I'm thanking God every day for my blessings. Buisness has really picked up and I've had a lot going on at school as well! I love my jobs ;)!

Well, on March 10th a couple local photographers and I have got together and are doing photo shoots from 10am-4pm. I'm not sure if I'll be able to stay until 4pm because I've had a couple requests for weddings on this day, but I will most definantly be there to help these babies as long as I can. Some people have been a little confused about what this whole photo shoot is for. We are supporting March of Dimes by doing mini shoots all day for $40. Proceeds will benefit the March of Dimes. And no, the photo shoots are not only going to be taken of just babies. These photo shoots are for seniors, families, kiddos, babies, etc.

If you would like to personally book with me, please let me know. If a photographer is a little backed up, we would like for you to use the next available photographer. This is going to be a fun filled day full of clicks ;).

I can't wait and I'm depending on you to make this an amazing day to help these amazing babies who fight so hard for their lives!

Out for a walk...

My husband and I decided to spend a day out walking and sight seeing yesterday. Of course with the rain, it wasn't the best day to be out walking around. And yes, of course, I had my camera with me and was able to catch a few shots!

I finally got my lighting system in yesterday and I am stoked. I can begin to start taking in studio photos and book in studio! :) I have already had a few requests and I look forward to some more! I am definantly stoked about this weekends maternity shoot for a VERY SPECIAL lady. :)
